Job Description:

Japan-America Institute of Management Science (JAIMS), a pioneer
in intercultural management education, is a non-profit educational
institution with a mission to contribute to human and economic
development by educating and training individuals who can be
effective knowledge-based leaders.
JAIMS is seeking Director, Educational Programs.
Responsibilities include:
Educational Programs and Student Affairs:
design and deliver curricula for existing and new programs,
seminars and workshops including identifying instructors and
organizations or sites for field projects in close collaboration
and open communication with the Fujitsu-JAIMS Foundation
("Foundation"), Tokyo. Oversee, support and manage matters related
to students and participants.
Admission (Screening): Interview Japanese
applicants in Tokyo as a final screening process. Conduct telephone
or Skype interview with non-Japanese applicants as required.
Documentation Support: Provide support in
refining English program documents
Alumni Relation: Refine or produce an English
newsletter or other communication media for the alumni in
collaboration with the Foundation.
Marketing Communications for Programs and Activities of
JAIMS: Update and manage the website and the social media
sites of JAIMS such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter for promotion
and announcement of programs, seminars and activities of JAIMS.
Marketing Communications for Programs and Activities of
the Foundation: Refine the English promotion materials
such as English website of the Foundation as requested by the
Foundation.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, TRAINING AND
EXPERIENCE
Required: Bachelor's degree in education,
business administration or equivalent. Minimum of five years of
professional experience at an educational institute. Knowledge of
and experience in curriculum development and understanding of
pedagogy. Effective written and oral communications skills. Strong
commitment to student learning and demonstrated ability in working
collaboratively and effectively with students, faculty, staff of
JAIMS and the Foundation, and other clientele.
Desirable: Graduate degree. Experience in
business or multicultural educational institution. Fluency in
Japanese. Teaching experience.
Communication Demands: Excellent interpersonal
and communication skills. Ability to work in a dynamic team
environment, and work cooperatively with others. Sensitivity to
needs of participants and others from a variety of cultures.
Ability to perform job duties according to professional and ethical
standards.
